- Take Exit 118B onto U.S. 460 West. Drive 9.5 miles to follow the signs for Blacksburg/Virginia Tech; Just stay on the road and do not take any exit.

- (To come to CESCA) Continue on U.S. 460 West for about a mile and take the first exit, which is Prices Fork Road exit for "Downtown." Take exit 32 onto I-81 North. Then, follow the above direction " From Interstate 81". - From Interstate 77 Southbound:
In West Virginia, take exit 9, "U.S. 460-Princeton/Pearisburg, VA." Turn left at the stoplight at the end of the ramp onto U.S. 460 East. Continue on U.S. 460 East for approximately 45 miles.
- (To come to CESCA) Take Toms Creek Road exit. At the end of the ramp, turn left onto Toms Creek Road and travel for about one mile. - Leaving the airport, take the I-581 North. Follow the signs "Blacksburg".
- Merge onto the I-81 South. Dirve 25miles to follow the signs to "Christiansburg."
- Take exit 118B and follow the above diretion "From Interstate 81" under "Via Car".
- The Smart Way Bus offers regularly scheduled service between the airport and Squires Student Center on Virginia Tech campus. Check its schedule, and the fare is only $3.
- Roanoke Airport Limousine Service provides transportation between the airport and campus.Its price is about $80.
- Private planes may land at the Virginia Tech/Montgomery Executive Airport adjacent to campus (telephone:(540) 231-4444).

Greyhound Bus Lines serves the Blacksburg area via a stop in Roanoke at the Campbell Court bus station downtown. The Smart Way Bus offers regularly scheduled service between Campbell Court and Squires Student Center in Blacksburg. Greyhound also stops in Wytheville (service to Christiansburg and Pulaski has been discontinued).

Several Amtrak stations are located in southern West Virginia (White Sulfur Springs, Alderson, and Hinton). Another station is located in Clifton Forge, Virginia. Lynchburg and Danville are also served by Amtrak.
